About this study

The purpose of this study is to understand recovery, hip and trunk strength in patients after hip arthroscopy. 

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Age 15-50 years
  • 12 weeks after hip arthroscopy to correct hip impingement
  • Willingness to participate in the study

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Concurrent injury/conditions that will affect their ability to participate in assessment procedures
  • Previous surgery to either LE
  • Assistive device for ambulation
  • BMI greater than 35
  • Any neurological, spine, or lower extremity conditions that would prevent the participant from performing study tasks
  • Ffailure to meet all inclusion criteria.
