Exploring Mechanisms of Action and Resistance of Therapeutic Agents in Patients with B-cell Malignancies

About this study

This study is being performed to understand the causes of drug resistance and to improve the treatment options for patients diagnosed with B-cell cancers. We aim to identify the reasons why certain therapies work and others don’t and as result- develop new treatments for blood cancers.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Individuals (male or female) diagnosed with a B-cell cancer/B-lymphoproliferative disorder, and undergoing a scheduled biopsy (or surgical procedure) for the purpose of collection of tissue including but not limited to bone marrow aspirate, blood, and/or saliva.
  • At least 18 years of age, but not more than 90 years of age.
  • Willingness to sign informed consent.
  • Willing to provide clinical data and blood, tissue, bone marrow aspirate, and/or saliva sample(s).

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Inability to understand and sign informed consent.
  • Inability to confirm diagnosis of a B-lymphoproliferative disorder from medical records. 
  • Pregnant patients. Negative pregnancy will be confirmed by verbal confirmation or as is noted in the medical record.
