About this study
The overall goal of this study is to determine whether remote monitoring increases physician monitoring capability, patient satisfaction, and can provide information regarding risk for readmission.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Patients undergoing isolated coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery
- Must be undergoing the procedure at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN
- Must be greater than or equal to 40 years of age
Exclusion Criteria:
- Under 40 years of age
- Concomitant additional surgical procedure (e.g., CABG + valve replacement)
- Patients with implantable pacemakers/defibrillators
- Patients that find the device too uncomfortable to wear for 48 hours
