About this study
The objectives of this study are to examine the effects of voodoo floss band compression on elbow and shoulder range in motion, elbow and shoulder soreness, and elbow and shoulder isometric strength.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Males between the ages of 13-18 years of age will be included in this study.
- Baseball pitchers, participating in the Wisconsin Junior American Legion baseball league will be included in this study.
- Baseball pitchers who routinely pitch and list pitching as a primary position will be included in the study.
- Baseball pitchers without any musculoskeletal injuries or issues that prevent a player from pitching will be included in this study.
Exclusion Criteria:
- Females will be excluded from participating in the current study.
- Any males who are not currently participating in the Wisconsin Junior American Legion baseball league will be excluded from participating in the current study.
- Any males under the age of 13 or over the age of 18 yrs. of age will be excluded from participating in the current study.
- Any males who do not routinely pitch (at least once per week) will be excluded from participating in the current study.
- Any males with any musculoskeletal injuries or issues that prevent them from throwing with any pain will be excluded from participating in the current study.
