Overview

About this study

The primary goal of this study is to establish a database of underrepresented populations who consented to be contacted for biomedical research including clinical trials and bio-specimen research. The database will serve as sampling frames for selecting healthy individuals who initially meet specific study eligibility criteria.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Adult (18-90), male/female/other (all gender types) 
  • Identify as a member from an underrepresented population in research (i.e., rural resident, LGBTQ2S + individual, person with disabilities, person from a disadvantaged background, medically underserved minority and/or self-reported racial/ ethnic minority) 
  • Able to read, or write, or have someone assist in English, Spanish, Somali, French and/or Creole.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Legal inability or restricted legal ability. Medical or psychological conditions not allowing proper study completion
  • Under the age of 18 years old (Children)
  • Identified as non-underrepresented racial/ethnic minority/non LGTBQ2S + / non rural resident/ does not have a disability, not from a disadvantaged background or non-medically underserved minority.
  • Unable to read, or write or have no one assist in English, Spanish, Somali, French and/or Creole.
