About this study

The purpose of this study is to determine the intersectional effects of demographic, cognitive and social-determinants of health (SDOH) factors on patients’ perceptions and receptivity to decentralized Clinical Trials in the community setting and at home setting.

 

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria: 

  • Black adult.
  • Patient with established care at Mayo Clinic or established care with a member of the NE Florida Medical Society or within the physician’s practice group.
  • Must be between the ages of 18 and 80.
  • Able to complete the survey in English.
  • Willing and able to consent to the study.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Younger than 18 years or older than 80 years.
  • A patient who is not affiliated with Mayo Clinic or NE Florida Medical Society.
  • Unwilling or unable to consent to the study.
