About this study

The purpose of this study is to examine objective and subjective measures of cumulative stress in older adult Latino participants.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Cognitively healthy adults and older adults (55 years and older).
  • Primary recruitment efforts for this study will draw from participant registries in the Mayo Clinic Florida Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) and Mayo Clinic Study of Aging (MCSA). ADRC and MCSA programs are complimentary and enroll clinic-based and community participants across the spectrum from normal aging to at-risk/preclinical conditions to mild cognitive impairment and through to neurodegenerative dementia.
  • Individuals who have been referred to the clinic for a neuropsychological evaluation will be offered the opportunity to participate following completion of the appointment.

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Individuals with diagnoses of Major Neurocognitive Disorder/dementia and significant psychiatric disorders, will be excluded from the proposed study.
