Tradipitant for Functional Dyspepsia
Rochester, MN
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of the NK1 receptor antagonist, tradipitant, on gastric function and symptom improvement in patients with functional dyspepsia. We will utilize and further validate simultaneous measurements of gastric emptying and gastric accommodation utilizing a solid meal and nuclear medicine scanning technique to better understand the pathophysiology of functional dyspepsia as well as the mechanism of action of tradipitant. Further understanding of the underlying gastric physiologic changes will provide groundwork for future diagnostic and therapeutic advances in functional dyspepsia.
