University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine Research Award
Through a collaboration between the University of Puerto Rico (UPR) School of Medicine and Mayo Clinic, the Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCaTS) offers a small number of UPR medical students an opportunity to take part in a two-month clinical and translational research experience (project) with an established investigator on the Mayo Clinic campus in Rochester, Minnesota.
A stipend and housing for the extent of the program will be given to recipients of the UPR School of Medicine Research Award. While the cost of travel arrangements is not provided by Mayo Clinic, staff will be available to assist participants with arranging travel as needed.
