A Study of the Frequency, Predictors, and Possible Solutions for Uncompleted Cardiac Rehabilitation

About this study

The purpose of this study is to assess the frequency, and the various patient, program, and system characteristics for patients who do not complete cardiac rehabilitation versus those who do. The study would like to identify potential ways to improve cardiac rehabilitation completion.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria

  • Are > 18 years of age
  • Enrolled in the Mayo Clinic Phase II Cardiac Rehabilitation Program between 1/1/2014 and 9/30/2015
  • Lived in Olmsted County area when they enrolled in Cardiac Rehabilitation

Exclusion Criteria

  • Have not granted research authorization for use of their medical records for medical research
  • Lack complete data for the data variables included in the analysis
