About this study

The purpose of this study is to understand and identify factors to increase staff comfort levels in the discussion of breast care, lactation management, and milk donation with mothers who have experienced an infant death.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria

  • Nurses and lactation consultants who are, or who would be potentially involved in the discussion of breast care, lactation management, weaning and milk donation with mothers who may experience an infant death at Mayo Clinic

Exclusion Criteria 

  • Nurses who are not registered or who are not practicing nurses at Mayo Clinic
