Use of Multimedia to Improve Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing in Children

About this study

This study will determine if the use of multimedia in the form of video running simulation and music to current exercise testing protocols will increase maximal exercise testing in children.

 

 

 

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Children age 8-17 years old already scheduled to have exercise testing over the assigned study period
  • Only treadmill tests will be included.

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Children younger than 8 years old or adults will not be included. 
  • Bicycle tests will not be included.
