Evaluation of LIAT StrepA at Express Care Clinics

About this study

We will compare the results from the Liat group A streptococcus (Strep A) test to the results of a paired sample run in the laboratory on the LightCycler PCR instrument.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Strep testing ordered clinically at one of the three participating sites, patient consents to collection of extra swab for LIAT testing.

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Patient does not consent to extra swab collection
