Neurodevelopment of Children Exposed to Anesthesia

About this study

The overall objective of this project is to determine whether exposure of children to anesthesia is associated with neurodevelopmental abnormalities.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Age 20 or younger
  • Born in Olmsted County from 1994-2007
  • Exposure to anesthesia more than twice prior to age 3
  • Specifically invited to participate
  • Healthy participants accepted
