A Study of Lower Body Negative Pressure for Research and Development on Non-Invasive Monitoring Devices

About this study

The purpose of this study is to see how the body responds to different levels of lower body negative pressure, specifically how the peripheral blood flow responds to these levels of lower body negative pressure.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Healthy subjects between 18-50 years of age 
  • Non-obese (BMI < 30)
  • Non-smokers
  • Free of any systemic diseases including:
    • Hypertension 
    • Diabetes 
    • Coronary artery disease 
    • Neurologic disease 
    • Any other major medical co-morbidity. 
  • Women either surgically sterilized or non-pregnant as determined by a pregnancy test.
