Noninvasive Measurement of Central Venous Pressure in the Critically Ill

About this study

Aims:

1.To assess the accuracy of limited ultrasonography of internal jugular vein (IJV), subclavian vein (SV), and inferior vena cava (IVC) for non-invasive measurement of central venous pressure (CVP)

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:       

         Adult critically ill patients with a CVC catheter in place

 

Exclusion Criteria:      

       We will exclude the patients who are not suitable for bedside ultrasonography due to dressing, injuries, or surgical interventions to the neck and abdomen. The pregnant women will be excluded.
