Pancreatic Juice Collection and Processing for Molecular Marker Assays

About this study

To optimize pancreatic juice collection methods for use in molecular studies.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria

  1. Adult patients (age>21 years) scheduled for a clinically indicated EGD

Exclusion Criteria

  1. Personal history of pancreatic diseases, both benign and malignant, including pancreatitis, cysts, and tumors
  2. Personal history of a upper gastrointestinal malignancy
  3. Family history of pancreatic cancer
  4. Previous allergic reaction to secretin
  5. Unable to provide informed consent
