About this study

The primary aim of this study is to retrospectively review the usage, describe the process and assess the outcomes of tobacco cessation e-consultation directed to the Nicotine Dependence Center of the Mayo Clinic (Rochester) from January 2016 to December 2016.

 

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  1. All patients referred for a tobacco cessation e-consultation at the Mayo Clinic in the year 2016.
  2. Smokers referred for tobacco cessation e-consultation 18-80 years of age.
  3. Patients referred for non-cigarette tobacco product (eg. cigars, bidis, kreteks, etc.) e-consultation.

Exclusion Criteria: 

  1. “International patients” or patients residing outside the country
