A Study of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in Patients with Myeloproliferative Neoplasms

About this study

The purpose of this study is to investigate interest of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) delivered in person and on an individual basis in patients with a myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN).

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Age ≥ 18 years
  • Myeloproliferative neoplasm

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Patients who have started an anti-depressant or anti-anxiety medication for mood disorder symptoms in the past 4 weeks
  • Patients who are actively undergoing psychological intervention that started in the past 4 weeks
  • Pregnant patients
  • Severe Anxiety – Defined as a score of = or >15 the brief GAD
  • Severe Depression – Defined as score = or > 15 on the PHQ-8
