A Study to Implement Asthma Control Tests and Asthma Action Plans in the Retail Clinic Setting to Improve Minnesota Community Quality Measures in the Employee and Community Health Patient Population of a Large Medical Center

About this study

The purpose of this study is to provide asthma management in the retail clinic setting in order to increase standardized asthma quality metrics in the Mayo Clinic Rochester Employee and Community Health asthma patient population.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Patients seen in Mayo Clinic Express Care sites.
  • Patients aged 5-50 with an active diagnosis of asthma.
  • Patients who have given research authorization for retrospective chart review.

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Patients with past history of asthma diagnosis that has been resolved.
  • Patients at Mayo Clinic Express Care who who have not given research authorization.
