A Study to Learn More About the Discussions Between Patients and Clinicians of Symptomatic Treatment Options for Menopause

About this study

The purpose of this study is to understand how and what patients and clinicians discuss and think about treatment options for menopausal symptoms.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Female patients age 40-60 years of any race and ethnicity.
  • Never, former, and current users
  • Peri- or postmenopausal patients (up to 10 years after diagnosis)
  • Willingness to provide informed consent and allow taping the complete encounter with their clinicians
  • Speaks and understand English language proficiently

Clinician Participants

  • Male and female 
  • Age 30-70 years 
  • From the DoFM at Mayo Clinic, Florida.
