The Development of a Dizziness Symptom Inventory (DSI)

About this study

The purpose of this investigation will be to determine the level of agreement between the "predicted" dizziness diagnosis from the DSI, compared to the "actual" diagnosis from the "gold-standard" ear (dizziness) specialist.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  1. Adults 18 years or older with complaints of dizziness/vertigo/unsteadiness

 

Exclusion Criteria: 

  1. Subjects who are unable to read the questionnaires (i.e. either due to illiteracy or visual impairment)
  2. Non- English speaking participants
