The Effects of an Active Older Adult Program at the Dan Abraham Healthy Living Center on Health and Well-being

About this study

The purpose of this study is to determine whether a structured 12-week program designed for older adults will improve physical function and well-being.
 

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  1. Men and women age 55 years or older.
  2. Membership at the DAHLC.
  3. New to AOA (Active Older Adult)  Program and commitment to full participation in the twelve-week program.
  4. Must be able to get down and off the floor with little assistance.

Exclusion Criteria: 

  1. Inability to provide informed consent.
  2. Previous participation in the AOA Program at the DAHLC.
