A Study to Evaluate Functional Predictive Value of Collective Outcome Measure(s) Status Post Total Hip/Knee Arthroplasty

About this study

The purpose of this study is to assess predictive value or correlation of outcome measures results on patients following a total knee or total hip arthroplasty in order to better predict the time frame taken to achieve certain functional milestones that are pertinent to that patient population.

 

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Patients 18 years or older.
  • Patients who recently underwent a primary total hip or total knee arthroplasty.
  • Patients who recently underwent a total hip or total knee revision.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Patients who lack the ability to provide informed consent.
  • Patients with previous total joint replacement within the last 6 months.
  • Patients with complications following surgery such as DVT/PE/Infection.
