About this study

The purpose of this study is to develop and pilot a novel community-engaged communication network statewide in Minnesota through social media; to assess community knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions of ongoing and completed research, and to increase access to information about and participation in research. 

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Adults over the age of 18 years old.
  • Men and women residing in Minnesota who use Facebook.
  • Participants from our pervious IRB study ID: 17-010305, “Building an Online Social Media Community for Engagement in Research.”

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Individuals under the age of 18 years old.
  • Individuals who do not reside in Minnesota.
  • Individuals who do not use Facebook.
