About this study

The primary purpose of this study is to determine pre-surgical and post-surgical predictors of the duration and severity of glucocorticoid withdrawal in patients undergoing a curative surgery for cortisol excess.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Age 18 years old and above.
  • New diagnosis of CS of any of the three subtypes (pituitary, adrenal or ectopic CS) and MACS.
  • Planning for therapy/conservative follow up for CS/MACS
  • Ability to provide informed consent.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Systemic supraphysiological GC for any reason within 1 month of enrollment, and for more than 2 weeks.
  • Inability to provide informed consent.
