A Study to Assess the Role of Technology for the Detection of Hearing Loss

About this study

The purpose of this study is to evaluate available tablet-based technology that can be easily used to screen and monitor patients for the detection of hearing loss in a quiet, clinic setting.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

Individuals aged 18-80 years old.
Scheduled to receive a hearing test as part of Executive Health Program.
Able to give informed consent.
English-speaking.

Exclusion Criteria:

Patients < 18 years or > 80 years old.
Non-English speaking (instructions on tablet in English-only).
Specialized populations (adult developmentally delay, cognitive decline, etc.).
Vulnerable populations (e.g., prisoners, severe mentally illness etc.).
Additional handicap that would limit the patient from being able to follow study instructions.
