Fall Risk Assessment Analysis in Individuals with Osteoporosis using Smart Phone Sensor Technology

About this study

The purpose of this study is to assess fall risks as measured by gait and postural parameters obtained by smart sensor with osteoporotic fallers comparing individuals:

With fracture vs. no fracture
upper extremity vs. lower extremity fracture
Non-hip vs. hip fracture

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

Adult patients with osteoporosis with and without a fragility fracture
Independently ambulating and living in their own home

Exclusion Criteria:

No pathological fracture (for eg, secondary to cancer metastases)
No major comorbidities such as dementia, visual problems
