Clinical Trials

Inclusion Criteria:

• All female subjects age 18 or older.
• All female subjects that underwent ASC, MMC, and RSC for post hysterectomy vaginal vault prolapse from January 1, 2000 to December 1st, 2018 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota.

Exclusion Criteria:

• Female patients who did not authorize use of their health record information for research purposes will be excluded.
• Female patients who had prior or concomitant vaginal mesh excision, upper vaginectomy, a nonhealing vaginal wound, prior radical hysterectomy, oncologic surgery, systemic chemotherapy, pelvic radiation therapy, current malignancy, connective tissue disease, nonpermanent mesh, concomitant trachelectomy or hysterectomy, concomitant major nongynecologic surgery (rectopexy, colectomy), suspension of neovagina, fistula repair, pouch of Douglas hernia, sacrocolpo-perineopexy with extension of mesh bilaterally to the pelvic sidewalls, or no apical prolapse.
• Female patients whose procedure was done by a non-gynecologic surgeon or was otherwise misclassified.
