Evaluation of Cardiac Surgical Technical Skills & Operating Team Non-Technical Practices Through Digital Recordings to Advance Cardiac Surgical Outcomes

About this study

The purpose of this study is to use prospectively collected digital recordings of cardiac surgery operations from the Surgical Team View (ST) camera and the Operating Team View (OT) camera, of the surgical team and the operating room team and for research purposes. Technical assessments will be linked to surgeons clinical outcomes to improve to try and find improvements that may assist more positive outcomes. 

 

 

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Patients 18 years of age and older.
  • Undergoing a cardiac surgery at participating centers.
  • Intraoperative team members involved in cardiac surgery at participating centers.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Individuals under 18 years of age.
