About this study

The purpose of this study is tp evaluate the effectiveness of quantitative ultrasound bladder vibrometry (QUBV) as a noninvasive tool for detrusor overactivity assessment and for BPH treatment selection.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria;

  • Age ≥ 18 years old.
  • Scheduled to undergo UDS for clinical care of one of the included diagnoses.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Obesity (BMI > 35kg/m^2).
  • Known neurologic disease impacting bladder function (e.g., spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, prior cerebrovascular accident).
  • Previous pelvic radiation therapy.
  • Previous radical pelvic surgery (such as for uterine or colorectal cancer).
  • Prior bladder surgery (including prostate resection).
  • Pregnant or breast-feeding women.
