Real-time Lung Physiology in Fighter Pilots

Overview

About this study

The purpose of this study is to determine the ability to accurately track changes in lung physiology in a closed loop ventilator system with various environmental and airway/lung challenges.  Lung physiology will be altered using challenges that impact airway tone, increase thoracic loads, alter lung compliance or intrathoracic fluid and increase susceptibility to atelectasis.
