About this study

The purpose of this study is to describe the long term outcomes of childhood sjogren disease which is currently unknown by following children in an observational fashion by entering clinical information (symptoms, lab, and imaging results) into a database. Also, to collect patient and physician reported outcomes.  

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Subject diagnosed with Sjogren Disease prior to 21 years of age. This will include patients either:
    • Fulfilling AECG or ACR/EULAR criteria; or
    • Are diagnosed by an expert.
  • Patients with a history of recurrent or persistent salivary or lacrimal gland inflammation or swelling without an underlying etiology. This can include patients with a label of recurrent juvenile parotitis.
  • Elevated SSA/Ro or SSB/La without a diagnosis of SD at study entry.
  • Subject suspected of having SD in evolution based on expert opinion.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Symptom onset after 21 years of age.
  • Not receiving care at a study related institution.
