Virtual Mindfulness and Weight Management Program in Patients with Cancer Histories

About this study

The purpose of this study is to improve well-being and promote weight loss using a virtual mindfulness and activity promotion program among rural patients with a history of cancer.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

- 18 or over.

- Identified stage I or stage II cancer in remission.

- Body mass index (BMI) of 30 or greater.

- Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) performance status scale score of 2 or less.

- English as a primary language.

- Has access to a device with a camera (computer, tablet, or video capable phone) that has wifi and reliable internet access.

Exclusion Criteria:

- Unable to provide consent.

- ECOG performance status scale score of 3 or above.
