Impact of Dyspnea Treatment in Obstructive Sleep Apnea

About this study

The purpose of this study is to determine the rate and severity of dyspnea experienced by sleep apnea patients in an unselected population and evaluate the effect of treatment on symptom severity.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Adult patients (≥ 18 years old).
  • Having a new prescription for CPAP or BiLevel PAP for treatment of obstructive sleep apnea.

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Unable or unwilling to complete electronic questionnaires.
  • Central apnea primary diagnosis.
  • Patients receiving renewal PAP therapy.
  • Patients receiving adaptive servo ventilation (ASV) therapy.
