Automated Renal Characterization, Tumor Identification and Classification (ARCTIC) on Abdominal CT Scan

About this study

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the accuracy and application of an AI tool to abdominal CT images obtained during routine clinical care for patients with kidney tumors.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria - Patients:

  • Abdominal CT with intravenous contrast unless contraindicated.

Inclusion Criteria - Physicians:

  • Members of Mayo Clinic’s radiology and urology departments across the enterprise.
  • Participants must agree to the consent statement.

Exclusion Criteria - Patients

  • Any CT imaging contraindications, inadequate CT acquisition (noise, motion, etc.).

Exclusion Criteria - Physicians

  • Physicians: None.
