Implications of Structural Firefighters Fluid Loss During an Air Management Training Course

About this study

The purpose of the study is to examine the amount of fluid loss that occurs during an Air Management Training Course and how it influences indicators of physical performance and next-day recovery in structural firefighters.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Active-duty career firefighter with a smartphone.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Previous diagnosis of a sleep disorder or sleep apnea and the current use of any sleep medications or supplements.
