PEI-514VX 3D TEE Transducer Clinical Trial

About this study

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safe use of the PEI-514VX 3D TEE transducer, while providing 2D or 3D cardiac images of diagnostic quality, to complete a TEE study.

 

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Patients scheduled to undergo a TEE procedure. 
  • Male and female patients ages 18 and above in the following BMI categories.
    • (Group 1) healthy weight ( BMI < 25)  **** 6 patients (3 males and 3 females);
    • (Group 2) overweight (25 ≤ BMI < 30)  **** 6 patients ( 3 males and 3 females);
    • (Group 3) obesity (BMI ≥ 30)  **** 6 patients (3 males and 3 females).
  • Informed consent understood and signed.
  • The patient will comply with post-treatment follow-up protocol requirements.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Patients who do not meet the criteria described in 4.1.
