Disease Specific IPS Lines From Patients With a Genetic or Developmental Basis for Their Renal Disease

About this study

The purpose of this study is to derive disease specific iPS lines from patients with a genetic or developmental basis for their renal disease.  

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Patients aged 0-100 years with a kidney disease of interest
  • Subjects aged  >18 years who are biologically related to a case individual

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Unaffected children < 18 years of age who are not clinically diagnosed with a disease of interest
  • Patients with an allergy to subcutaneous lidocaine or bupivacaine (if undergoing a dermal punch biopsy)
  • Subjects unable to consent to the study or have a parent/guardian/witness sign on their behalf
