A Study of hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (hEDS) and hypermobility spectrum disorders (HSD)

About this study

The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of how signs and symptoms of hypermobility are related to a diagnosis of hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome or hypermobility spectrum disorders to decide if the diagnostic criteria should be revised.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Citeria:

  • Adults with suspicion of hEDS or HSD who attend the Mayo Clinic Florida EDS Clinic and sign the consent form.

Exclusion Criteria:  

  • Anyone under the age of 18 years, or anyone not able to give consent by the method described above.
