About this study

The purpose of this study it to develop culturally appropriat, respectful, trusted, and collaborative means to engage and recruit American Indians (AI) affected by cancer (newly diagnosed cancer participants, participants undergoing cancer treatment, and cancer survivors) for molecular characterization of their tumors.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Male or female adults ≥18 years of age,
  • Cancer patient undergoing active treatment or a cancer survivor,
  • Self-identify as American Indian.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Cognitively impaired,
  • Unable to provide informed consent,
  • Individuals who are under 18 years of age,
  • Prisoners
