Overview

About this study

The purpose of this research study is to help us better understand a person's risk of getting a disease or condition and what affects disease progression. We hope to use that information to create treatments that are directed specifically for each person, as well as lead to future new knowledge that will help us better manage and treat all patients.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Has Mayo Clinic medical record number
  • Confirmed new or established patient appointment in MCA-DOM
  • Able to provide informed consent
  • English speaking (in future will modify to Spanish speaking when IRB/consent are translated)
  • ≥ 18 years old
  • Ability to provide blood, saliva, urine, tissue, nasal swabs, or stool samples
  • Ability to provide archived tissue if available.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Individuals who have situations that would limit compliance with the study requirements
  • Institutionalized (i.e. Federal Medical Prison)
  • Participants unable to provide written consent

Of note: Women, who are pregnant, or planning to become pregnant, can take part in this study.
