Overview

About this study

The purpose of this study is to develop ethnically sensitive, targeted approaches that will eliminate the cancer disparities experienced by Black men. 

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Community PI (n=1).
  • CoLLabs Program Manager (n=1).
  • CoLLabs Community Managers (n=3).
  • CoLLabs CAB members (n=14).
  • 2 CHWs per Post site (n=6).
  • Between the ages of 21 and 80.
  • Able to complete the survey in English.
  • Reside in the Jacksonville, FL and/or surrounding counties.
  • Willing and able to consent to the study.
  • Black adult of any gender.
  • Must be between the ages of 30 and 80.
  • Able to speak English.
  • Reside in the Jacksonville, FL and/or surrounding counties.
  • Willing and able to consent to the study.

Exclusion Criteria:

Aims 1 and 3: 

  • Younger than 21years or older than 80 years.
  • Not a resident of NE Florida. Unwilling or unable to consent to the study.

Aim 2:

  1. Younger than 30 years or older than 80 years.
  2. Not a resident of NE Florida.
  3. Unwilling or unable to consent to the study.
