Overview

About this study

The goal of this project is to develop a high-fidelity Finite Element (FE) model of the foot by integrating data from Computed Tomography (CT) scans and pressure distribution measurements.  The developed model will potentially enhance patient-specific therapies and rehabilitation techniques.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Healthy adult 18-65 years of age

Exclusion Criteria: 

 

  • Persons with known feet abnormalities, injuries, recent surgeries to the feet, active skin conditions
  • Persons unable to walk and stand on their own
  • Pregnant women
  • Persons with known adverse reactions to CT scans
  • Persons with neurological or musculoskeletal conditions that effect gait or foot structure
  • Persons unable to follow study procedure
