Video Observed Oral Fluid Drug Testing (VOOF-DT) for Substance Use Disorder

About this study

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the feasibility and acceptability of video-recorded oral fluid drug testing (VOOF-DT) among substance use disorders (SUD) in patients.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • English speaking
  • Should be 18 years old or older
  • Diagnosed with SUD, current or history of.
  • Willing to follow instructions provided for study activities.
  • Capable of independently using/having a smartphone to record videos

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Clinician judgment of active, untreated mental health symptoms that may interfere with their ability to fully participate in the study.
  • Are unable to provide informed consent or read study instructions in English.
