A Study of Ovarian Tissue Freezing for the Preservation of Fertility in Children

The purpose of this study is to offer ovarian tissue cryopreservation to female pediatric patients (birth-17 years of age) with fertility threatening medical diagnoses or facing surgery, chemotherapy or radiation therapy that may cause loss of reproductive potential. Since this procedure is currently considered experimental, the establishment of an IRB protocol under which this opportunity can be offered is needed.

A Study of the Views of Women Who Have Uterine Fibroids and About New Reproductive Technologies and Their Potential Uses

The purpose of this study is:
- To assess how women who have undergone treatment for UF view the experience, whether they prioritize experimental approaches to remedy any impacts on their fertility, and the psychosocial and socio-economic factors most important to them in considering the preservation or restoration of fertility.
- To assess the potential perceptions or experiences of women of African descent compared with women of other ethnic backgrounds of disparities in the symptoms and how treatment options for UF may impact willingness or ability to pursue approaches to fertility maintenance and restoration.

Clomiphene Citrate Fast-Track Protocol for Fertility Treatment in Women With PCOS

Women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) have traditionally been treated for infertility by using progestin for a withdrawal bleed (aka endometrial shedding) before clomiphene citrate (CC) is administered to induce ovulation.
Recent evidence suggests that this approach (the traditional CC protocol) may be associated with decreased pregnancy and live birth rates, compared to the "fast track" CC protocol (in which no progestin is used).
