  • Immune Predictors of Response to Pembrolizumab Therapy in Stage IV Melanoma Patients Rochester, Minn.

This study will test whether immune functions in individual cancer patients can be characterized in a quantitative manner using new technologies that analyze nucleic acids from peripheral blood cells and whether those quantitations can be used to predict the response outcomes of patients being treated with Pembrolizumab.

  • Immunology Research Studies using Blood from Healthy Human Subjects Rochester, Minn.

The purpose of this study is to establish a pool of healthy blood donors who will regularly participate in our research studies of human immunity. In most cases, the blood needs to be freshly drawn. Thus, we propose to draw blood on an as needed, ongoing basis. These studies will lead to a better understanding of the immune response to tumors, infectious agents and self. This, in turn, will aid in the design of new strategies to preserve health and treat disease.

  • Platform for Assessing Immune Response Signatures Rochester, Minn.

The immune system is central to most areas of medicine. Understanding how the immune system responds to disease is important for improving care for patients. Knowledge gained from this study may lead to the development of new tests for patients. When combined with other studies, it will lead to a better understanding of the immune response to tumors, allergic and infectious agents, and to self. This, in turn, will aid in the design of new strategies to preserve health and treat disease.
