This study examines Stress Management and Resilience Training (SMART) for family caregivers (FCG) of patients receiving chemotherapy for advanced cancer to potentially help with the stressful aspects of providing care. All participants will receive the SMART intervention.

Fostering Resilience amongst Mothers under Stress: Authentic Connections for Nurse Leaders

The purpose of this study is to ascertain the effects of the Authentic Connections intervention among nurse leaders who are mothers at Mayo Clinic Rochester in comparison to a control group. Outcomes that will be measured include: psychological distress, depression, self-compassion, parenting stress, burnout, and feasibility measures.

Resilience in Stroke Survivors and their Caregivers

The purpose of this study is to test the feasibility of providing a mindfulness based stress management intervention, the Resilient Living Program,to stroke survivors and their family caregivers. The Resilient Living Program consists of an introduction and 4 online modules, each completed 2 weeks apart. Stroke survivors and their caregivers will practice the strategies taught in the modules using a journal to record. Questionnaires to gauge the impact of the intervention will be completed at baseline, 5, 9, and 12 weeks.
