Absorbable versus Non-Absorbable Suture in Carpal Tunnel and Trigger Finger Wound Closure: A Randomized Prospective Study
Rochester, Minn.
The purpose of this study is to describe potential cosmetic differences in wound healing between absorbable and non-absorbable suture for wound closure of open carpal tunnel release and trigger finger pulley release, and to compare the two methods of wound closure based upon patient satisfaction, residual scar tenderness, and post-operative complications.

Comparison of Muscle Versus Nerve-Based Surgical Procedures on spasticity and muscle biomechanical properties. (MTLvsHSN)
Rochester, Minn.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of muscle-tendon lengthening procedures versus Hyperselective neurectomy (HSN) in decreasing elbow flexor spasticity and improving upper extremity function.
Surgical management to alleviate upper limb spasticity traditionally rely on lengthening the muscle-tendon units which often require a period of joint immobilization and extensive post-operative rehabilitation. HSN is an innovative procedure with early clinical evidence that has been shown to disrupt the heightened neural reflex arc that causes upper limb spasticity without the need for any post-operative rehabilitation.

High-Frequency Nerve Block for Post-Amputation Pain: A Pivotal Study
Rochester, Minn.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Altius® System High Frequency Nerve Block (HFNB) treatment for the management of post-amputation pain.
A secondary objective is to determine the impact of Altius HFNB treatment for post-amputation pain on health outcomes, including measurement health-related quality of life and use of pain medications.
