The purpose of this study is to establish the safety and effectiveness of the ultra-minimally invasive thread carpal tunnel release technique versus the mini-open carpal tunnel release (standard of care).

The purpose of this study is to access the effectiveness of over-the-counter analgesics in the management of post-operative pain after hand soft tissue surgical procedures.  These procedures would include carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger release, and first compartment releases in DeQuervain's syndrome.

The purpose of this study is to describe potential cosmetic differences in wound healing between absorbable and non-absorbable suture for wound closure of open carpal tunnel release and trigger finger pulley release, and to compare the two methods of wound closure based upon patient satisfaction, residual scar tenderness, and post-operative complications.

The purpose of this study is to document the primary investigator’s clinical experience performing Ultrasound Guided Carpal Tunnel Release (USCTR) in the clinic procedure room setting through retrospective and prospective analysis of these now routinely collected clinical outcomes. 

The purpose of this study is to compare the incisionless thread carpal tunnel release with the standard mini-open carpal tunnel release (standard of care) in patients with bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome.
